October 2015 Functional Forum

October 2015 Functional Forum

8:00 pm EST on Monday October 5, 2015

  • How can we accelerate the public’s understanding of the microbiome and position Functional Medicine as “Microbiome Maximized Medicine”?
  • How can we leverage the power of our internal microbes to help our patients create and maintain health?
  • How is medicine evolving to the new sciences of epigenetics, systems biology and the microbiome?

Over the last two years, one of the major focuses on the Functional Forum’s Functional Forum has been the new science on the germs that live in, on and around us all the time. The ‘Human Microbiome’ holds immense promise for the creation and maintenance of health, and the prevention and reversal of chronic disease.

On this year’s Functional Forum Summit, “Healthcare from Scratch” we argued that medicine is not adapting quickly enough to this new science due to our century of entrenchment in “germ killing”. On this Forum we imagine a new chronic disease system we refer to as “Microbiome Maximized Medicine”.

We hear from leaders in the field who are already working in the new paradigm. We will also have an exciting group of panelists to answer your questions on a range of microbe related topics!
